Establishing a Treating Doctor for OWCP

If you have never been hurt on a federal job, establishing a treating physician might not seem important. But understanding the basic process before an injury can save you a lot of trouble later. We published a new article on FedDoctor.com to help federal employees everywhere understand how to navigate this sometimes tricky issue with their OWCP claims examiner.

This is simple, useful and sometimes claim-altering information that you can file away in your "just in case" bank. Hopefully you never need it! But over a long career with the government, the odds are good that one day it will come in handy. If it is helpful to one of your co-workers, share this with them.

Let's change the culture of the Federal Workers Compensation System! We want all federal employees to find the help they need and not be afraid of a work injury claim; focusing on recovery, not paperwork.
